The Minnesota Lynx today announced that forward Tamika Williams will undergo surgery tomorrow morning for a torn medial meniscus in her left knee, an injury she suffered yesterday on day one of training camp. Team Physician Dr. Joel Boyd will perform the surgery. Following the surgery, a timeline for recovery will be established.
“You never want to see any of your players go down with an injury, especially the team captain,” said Lynx Chief Operating Officer Roger Griffith. “Tamika is a competitor and a hard worker, and we expect her to make a full recovery.”
